POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP SCHEME
|
|
| This scheme provides fund for appointment of Post Doctoral Research Fellow who will conduct full time research work, and thereby contributes towards enhancing and strengthening research work in a particular research area. Candidate must be a Doctorate in related field of studies from a recognized Institution of Higher Education. |
|
Qualifications Candidates
PD candidate must have the following qualifications:

i.
|
Open to internal candidates and the national |
ii.
|
Holds a Doctor of Philosophy; or |
iii.
|
For UTM graduate candidate, has been confirmed passed by Senate Meeting (letter from the SPS must be included); |
| iv. |
English language proficiency qualification (minimum TOEFL 600 or IELTS minimum band 6.5) for his / her PhD thesis the candidate is not in English and candidates beyond UTM |
| v. |
Have experience in conducting research and has resulted in the issuance CIF at least 1.0 (status issue to be considered is in press and published) |

Benefits and Remuneration
Other facilities available are as follows: |
i.
|
Medical facilities for candidate, spouse and two children (who are not married), which includes medical treatment in PusatKesihatan, UTM only. (You will be required to pay medical charges and the reimbursement will be made by Research Management Centre (RMC) through medical claims. |
ii.
|
The University will bear economy class (return) air fare for the researcher only. This will be provided once during his/her tenure. |
| iii. |
The University will bear payment for Professional Visa for the Researcher and Dependent Pass for the spouse and two (2) unmarried children only. |
| iv. |
Annual leave of 25 days per year. |

| Supervisor Qualification Criteria |
i,
|
Total research grants should be more than RM 150,000.00. |
ii.
|
Priority will be given to the grant contract, Technofund & Sciencefund. |
|
| Period of Appointment |
i.
|
First appointed not later than 1 year |
ii.
|
An extension may be considered subject to the performance report and recommendation of Supervisor |
iii.
|
Candidates may be considered for appointment subject to the performance of the Contract Lecturer, Supervisor certificate, rules and regulations and conditions of migrant workers as well as the policy in force when (for foreign nationals). |
