Introduction
You cannot miss them - those monoliths that remained abandoned for years on end. They blight our urban landscape. They are grave cause for concern , a festering wound- to those who have invested in them, to neighbouring property owners and to every caring member of our urban community. They undermine would be investors confidence in the Region's ability to sustain our economic promise.
No concerted effort appear to have been taken to address the situation. We have invited a number of speakers ranging from those who have first-hand experience in investing, dealing and in administering such buildings, property professionals who have advised clients in managing property assets in project and construction management and in marketing such properties. We have invited a well known speaker to discuss the adequacy of our existing laws and their implementation to deal with the situation.
Participation will have a chance to express their views besides listening to the speakers in an open discussion session.
