Question 1: Why is it necessary for student organisations to have UTM staff member(s) as their advisor(s)?
Answer 1:
In UTM, student organisations cater to a breadth of specific interest areas spanning across academic, sporting, cultural, community service, political and lifestyle areas. Student organisations are highly encouraged to appoint like-minded UTM staff member(s) as their advisor(s).
The primary role of the advisor(s) is to guide and assist the student organization to meet its objectives. The advisor(s) should ideally share same passion, interest or relevant experiences with the student organisation.
Question 2: How many student organisations are there in UTM?
Answer 2:
UTM is fortunate to have a large and active student organisation which represent students to the nearby community. An activity managed by the organisation provides a great range of extra curricular and social activities that caters for all interest and preferences.
