Special Session on Intelligent e-Learning System (ILS 2009)

CALL FOR PAPER

With the fast development of Internet and Web technologies, better qualities of e-learning systems are highly demanded. It has been known that the application of intelligent approaches can provide better learning environments, but many issues need to be resolved before an effective and efficient intelligent e-learning system is possible. This special session invites contributions/papers in e-learning area from fundamental  aspects as well as to their various practical applications related to various technologies. The followings are the topics of interest but not  limited to:

• E-learning design and methodologies
• E-learning technologies and tools
• E-learning content and deliveries
• E-learning security
• E-learning evaluation and Assessment
• Educational mining
• Intelligent tutoring system

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers are invited from prospective authors with interest on the related areas. Each paper should consist of a title, authors‘ names, postal and email addresses, an up to 150-words abstract, a two-column body with 4 to 6 pages in double column IEEE format. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format only via: http://cig.iet.unipi.it/isda09

Authors of selected papers  will be  invited to submit an extended version of their  contribution for  possible inclusion in  the following seven International Journals:

• Evolutionary Intelligence
• International Journal of Hybrid Intelligent Systems
• Neural Network World
• Int. Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems
• Int. Journal of Computational Intelligence and Applications

IMPORTANT DATES:

Deadline for submission of full papers: 31 May, 2009    20 June, 2009
Acceptance/Rejection notification: 25 July, 2009
Final camera-ready papers due: 15 September, 2009
