The research conducted at CTMC are categorized under short and long term research projects.  Short mini-studies are a cost-effective way for organizations in the industry to benefit from the wide range of available expertise within CTMC as an outsource for special project problem solving.  Long-term research projects ranging from three to five years are typical of government-supported schemes with topics in pursuit of the current industrial needs.  Majority of the grants are from The Ministry of Science and Technology (Malaysia) and The Construction Industry Development Board.  An encoring number of long-term projects, which has seen to increase over the years, are funded by Japan, Britain, USA and European nations through collaborations with Malaysian Government. The research conducted at CTMC spans over a broad of topics and some has wide-reaching applications.
