Formed in Sept 1999, AIBIG research group - formerly Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics Laboratory (AIBIL) - is being active in several scientific research areas for the past 10 years.AIBIG, a research group under Software Engineering Department, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems (FSKSM), at Universiti Teknology Malaysia (UTM). Specific research topics include, but are not limited to: algorithms, computational models for molecular biology, computer architecture, databases, distributed systems, machine learning, natural and spoken language, parallel systems, programming languages, robotics, scientific computing, semantic web, software and software agent, synthetic biology of computation, and verification.

At AIBIG, reseachers are the most valuable resources that we have. We have researchers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Kuwait, UAE, Yemen, Iran and Syria.
